Don’t like the new Facebook Picture Viewer? Well, you don’t have to live with it. Follow this tip to look at Facebook pictures the way you used to –
First, just reload the page. Once the new Facebook Picture Viewer has loaded, hit enter on the URL again, hit your browser’s refresh button near the address bar, or just hit F5. Bingo.
There you go, now you can browse the rest of the album you already have open in the old Facebook Picture Viewer. However, this tip is not permanent because every URL that points to a picture on Facebook now ends with “&theater” – this is what tells the service to use the new Facebook Picture Viewer.
If you use Firefox you can have this extra part taken out of the URL. With the Greasemonkey add-on for Firefox, get the Facebook Photo Theater Killer userscript. This will help you automatically see photos with the old Facebook Photo Viewer.
